The complete high-performance CAPRISTO system aims to be a balanced increase between power, driveability and sound quality, without obviously forgetting a substantial weight loss. All of this is delivered while maintaining the CAPRISTO philosophy, the best of both worlds, which offers the ability to produce an aggressive exhaust note under acceleration and a more subdued sound for city driving. Power gain of ~15-20 HP without tuning.
This feature is possible using vacuum-actuated valve flaps that open and close depending on conditions guidance and driver input. At lower engine speeds and during cruise operation the valves are closed and produce a deeper exhaust note. With the throttle fully open, the valves open releasing the full symphony of the engine.
The exhaust valves are controlled by back pressure and via the included Valve Controller Remote which allows to control the permanent opening of the flaps, without the serial control being able to intervene. When the exhaust valve system is closed again with the use of the remote control, the series control unit will resume control of the exhaust valves again. This allows for precise exhaust control based on the driver's personal tastes and tolerance.
CAPRISTO exhaust systems are designed and manufactured using advanced 3D laser scanning, engineering CAD, digital prototyping and CNC bending/milling in our factory in Germany. Each system is made of high quality T309 (1.4828) stainless steel and hand polished to a mirror finish. After extensive research, this specific alloy was chosen for its sonic resonance, low weight and durability properties which are close to the properties of Inconel (used in F1).
Cat Eliminate Test Pipes:
These lightweight test pipes fit in place of heavy OEM catalytic converters. Using test pipes removes the flow restriction that a catalytic converter places on an exhaust system, while increasing horsepower. The silencing effect of the converters is also eliminated, enhancing the aggressive sound of the engine. The test hoses are ideal for track days and racing applications.
Lambda or oxygen sensor caps are pre-installed and threaded.
Made of T309 stainless steel (1.4828).
IMPORTANT
< p>*The exhaust system is designed to be installed directly into existing OEM mounting points**Recommended for off-road and track use only*
Removing OEM catalytic converters may activate a Check Engine Light (CEL).
To disable a recurring CEL you will need to tune the ECU.
