Exhaust valves are controlled by back pressure and user programmable via the included CES-3 control module in this version (assuming the R8 doesn't have the OEM exhaust control button). The programmable control unit provides 3 modes operated via a remote control:
Cruise exhaust valves open at higher rpm
Sport exhaust valves open at lower engine speeds and hard acceleration
Open exhaust valves stay open
< p>Both Cruise and Sport modes can be individually programmed for specific backpressure limits to determine when the exhaust valves open. This allows for precise exhaust control based on the driver's personal tastes and tolerance.CAPRISTO exhaust systems are designed and manufactured using advanced 3D laser scanning, engineering CAD, digital prototyping and CNC bending/milling in our factory in Germany. Each system is made of high quality T309 (1.4828) stainless steel and hand polished to a mirror finish. After extensive research, this specific alloy was chosen for its sonic resonance, low weight and durability properties which are close to the properties of Inconel (used in F1).
IMPORTANT
The exhaust system is designed to be installed directly into existing OEM mounting points.
