Exhaust Akrapovic Slip-On BMW 8 COUPE M8 01-20

With an unmistakable sound while shifting, combined with improved power and torque, all encapsulated in a full titanium system, the Slip-On (Titanium) exhaust offers Akrapovic expertise while complying with ECE homologation. Constructed from high-grade lightweight titanium alloys and finished with two sets of carbon fiber/titanium mufflers, the system features intricate parts cast in the in-house titanium foundry, including the valve housing and headers. Two valves - one on each side of the muffler - adapt gas flow to help produce that unmistakable Akrapovic sound, which is distinctly different from the M8 with a stock system. The tone is more evident as you move through the gears and accelerate, and this can be further controlled through the addition of the optional Akrapovic Sound Kit to provide greater aural pleasure. Akrapovic achieved power gains of 14.3bhp at 5,200rpm and torque increases of 19.4Nm at 5,200rpm when tested in a BMW M8 Competition with a stock M Sport exhaust system. There is also the possibility of further tuning with the addition of the optional Evolution (Titanium) tailpipe set; using the joint tubing set will change the gas flow and provide the best possible sound. As a further enhancement, Akrapovic has created optional components to change the visual appeal of the car and accompany the stunning finish of the tailpipes. With a handmade carbon fiber diffuser and mirror caps in matte or gloss finishes, it's possible to add an extra special touch. With the installation of the Evolution tailpipe set, the ECE homologation for the Slip-On exhaust system (Titanium) is not valid and ECU remapping becomes mandatory. With the installation of the Akrapovic Sound Kit, the ECE approval for the Slip-On exhaust system (Titanium) is invalid. For installation of the slip-on system, the stock exhaust system must be cut.
